Senior Compliance Engineer (Product Compliance)

Location: Office-based in Colchester, United Kingdom, with Aylesbury as an additional location and regular travel between UK sites of approximately 25%.

What you will do

• Own product compliance activities across the full product lifecycle.
• Interpret and apply international regulatory and safety requirements, including CE, the EU Machinery Directive, EMC, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, SEMI, and FDA requirements.
• Partner with Engineering to integrate compliance and safety requirements into product design and development.
• Ensure components and materials meet RoHS, REACH, UL, FCC, and Conflict Minerals requirements.
• Maintain technical files, compliance documentation, certification records, and declarations of conformity.
• Support trade compliance activities and manage relationships with certification bodies and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting compliance activities within product development teams.
• Knowledge of machinery safety and regulatory requirements for electromechanical systems.
• Experience with SISTEMA, Safeexpert, or equivalent safety analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
