Electrical Controls Engineer

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; onsite at the manufacturing site

Salary: £46,000–£55,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and support site control systems and facilities infrastructure.
• Work with onsite technicians, contractors, and internal stakeholders on maintenance and improvement activities.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot facilities systems.
• Interpret control philosophies, logic diagrams, and system documentation.
• Assist with designing and optimising control strategies.
• Provide technical support to Facilities and other departments across the site.

Requirements

• HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with industrial control systems and facilities plant.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Technical experience with clean room control systems, HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, DI water, extraction, diesel generators, or CHP plant.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TREND or Echelon BMS systems.
