Mechanical Engineer – New Graduate (Industrial Refrigeration)

hirify.global designs, manufactures, constructs, commissions, services, and supports industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂.

What you will do

• Design mechanical rooms, rooftop penthouses, and piping systems for industrial refrigeration facilities.
• Perform thermal, tolerance, and structural engineering calculations.
• Prepare detailed design drawings for internal review and approval.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation to maintain design accuracy.
• Create bills of materials and enter project data into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams, purchasing, and vendors on materials and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Understanding of mechanical and refrigeration engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Occasional travel to job sites may be required depending on project needs.
• This safety-sensitive role requires pre-employment and regular drug testing, along with the ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with sheet metal and pipe fabrication.
• EIT license or interest in obtaining a Professional Engineering license.
• Experience with refrigeration systems or HVAC/MEP.
