Prod Dev Engineer I (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite role at hirify.global HQ.

Salary: USD 75,000–82,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support technical product innovation and turn new toy concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Provide feasibility feedback during early concept development and assist with new mechanism design and breadboard models.
• Create engineering bills of materials, functional specifications, and technical requirements for development houses, tooling suppliers, and plants.
• Support value engineering, advanced product quality planning, and corrective action programs.
• Collaborate with design, product management, operations, and cross-functional new product development partners.
• Perform standardized engineering tasks while learning established processes and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of plastic production processes, plastic product assembly, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge and experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Understanding of statistics and probability.
• Curiosity, continuous learning, and a demonstrated growth mindset.
