Senior FPGA Engineer (Trading)

What you will do

• Architect and implement FPGA applications from initial design through synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis, and documentation.
• Develop low-latency, high-throughput FPGA designs across the full development lifecycle, including system and block-level testing.
• Research and evaluate FPGA hardware, tools, technologies, techniques, and architectures.
• Design creative solutions to overcome FPGA and hardware limitations.
• Collaborate directly with software, trading, and other engineering teams.
• Debug and characterize new hardware in the lab and provide production support with live debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience; a master’s degree or higher may count toward the experience requirement.
• Strong hardware engineering experience, especially with FPGA systems.
• Ability to lead FPGA projects autonomously from system requirements through production and evaluate project feasibility against hardware limitations.
• Strong RTL logic design and verification skills, including 2+ years of Verilog development.
• Experience with FPGA design flows, including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
• Experience with SoC architectures, memory and processor subsystems, networking, peripheral interconnects, TCP/IP, and Xilinx or Altera design flows.

Nice to have

• Experience with functional verification using high-level methodologies such as SystemVerilog.
• Excellent research and data-gathering skills.
