Graduate Hardware Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; the role includes a five-week global training programme with mandatory training in the United States.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and validate improvements to FPGA trading systems.
• Work hands-on with hardware and development tools to optimize system performance.
• Participate in pair programming, peer code reviews, and design discussions.
• Collaborate with traders and software engineers to deliver robust, low-latency systems.
• Develop professionally through workshops, training sessions, and networking with engineers across hirify.global regions.

Requirements

• Recent graduation or graduation by 2027 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with a hardware description language such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; C++ or Python is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an interest in complex technical challenges and financial markets.
• Collaborative approach and interest in creativity, innovation, and teamwork.
• Availability to start full-time in February or August 2027 and obtain the U.S. business visa required for mandatory programme training in the United States.
