Senior Fullstack Java Developer (AI-Assisted Development)

Location: Okemos, Michigan / Farmington Hills, Michigan; must be local to Lansing, Michigan for onsite reviews and work requirements. Four days onsite required; no remote option.

hirify.global is hiring for a software development role focused on full-stack Java engineering and AI-assisted development.

What you will do

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Java EE, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop RESTful microservices with Jersey and integrate them with Oracle databases.
• Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, debugging, and optimization.
• Write and refine prompts, then validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, and production readiness.
• Analyze JVM behavior and perform performance profiling.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional development experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and prompt iteration for development tasks.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Java EE, RESTful microservices, Jersey, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Must be local to Lansing, Michigan and able to work onsite four days per week; no remote option.

Nice to have

• Advanced GitHub Copilot usage and prompt engineering expertise.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Unix or shell scripting.
• Docker, Memcache, Redis, or SAML experience.
