Branch Manager (Retail Banking)

What you will do

• Lead all branch activities, including sales, business development, customer service, digital engagement, transactions, servicing, and operations.
• Drive branch profitability and annual goals through proactive outreach, product bundling, and community engagement.
• Coach, develop, evaluate, and staff branch employees while maintaining accountability for performance and customer service.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and grow Business Banking relationships through external calling and prospecting.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues, including escalations from other bankers.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and maintain compliance, security, audit, and operational risk controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• Ability to maintain SAFE Act registration requirements and meet applicable insurance licensing expectations.
• M&T Business Banking Specialist certification within 18 months of hire and M&T Way certification.
• Proficiency with common PC software, including Microsoft Office, plus strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.

• Spanish bilingual communication skills.
• Strong financial services product knowledge and experience with internet and email.
