Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Remote within the continental United States; U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance are required.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of analytic solutions for customer and mission needs.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models to detect kinematic behaviors using live and historical data.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, create training and test datasets, and perform cleansing, validation, and ETL workflows.
• Apply feature engineering, classifier optimization, event forecasting, anomaly detection, and algorithm performance scoring.
• Build simulations, visualizations, analytic reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, mission partners, and customer stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability.
• Master’s degree in data science, data analytics, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience applying machine learning to time series and/or geospatial data, with experience in event forecasting and algorithm evaluation.
• Strong Python skills with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and SciPy, plus statistical knowledge in testing, regression, and probability.
• 7+ years of experience with databases or data file systems such as PostgreSQL or HDFS and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with data visualization, sensor-data correlation, model feasibility research, algorithm development, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• PhD.
• 3+ years of experience with deep learning technologies such as PyTorch, Keras, or TensorFlow.
• 3+ years of professional experience with radar data.
