Lead Workday Technical Architect (Workday)

Location: Must be local to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area or willing to relocate, with onsite work in customer SCIF environments 3–4 days per week. Approximately 5% travel within the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region is required.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate Workday technical workstreams covering integrations, data conversion, security, environments, testing, and deployment.
• Align technical plans, requirements, milestones, dependencies, interfaces, and deliverables across implementation teams and related programs.
• Partner with delivery and solution architecture leads to maintain alignment with the approved architecture, technical standards, implementation methodology, and deployment schedule.
• Serve as a technical interface with the customer CIO organization, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration, and data stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks, issues, and dependencies; assess their impact on contract execution, testing, milestones, and deployment readiness.
• Support design reviews, readiness reviews, cutover planning, operational transition, and mitigation or recovery strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise technology, ERP, HCM, or complex systems implementation experience, including 5+ years of Workday implementation experience with significant technical delivery responsibilities.
• Experience as a Technical Lead, Technical Architect, or comparable technical leader on multiple HCM implementations, including at least one Workday implementation.
• Broad knowledge of Workday architecture and implementation, including integrations, data conversion, security, environments, reporting, APIs, and deployment activities.
• Experience coordinating technical workstreams, dependencies, vendors, customer CIO organizations, cybersecurity teams, and subcontractor resources.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to Top Secret with SCI access and CI polygraph are required.

Nice to have

• Current Workday technical certifications.
• Federal government, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community Workday implementation experience.
• Experience with RMF, ATO activities, NIST security controls, federal enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience supporting large-scale Workday HCM implementations across secure customer environments and concurrent related programs.
