Workday Security Lead & Architect

Location: Remote within approved U.S. locations; quarterly on-site work in Memphis is required, and California residents are not eligible for remote work unless willing to relocate to an approved location.

Salary: $94,640–$169,520 per year

What you will do

• Own the Workday security architecture and configuration model, including domain and business process security, security groups, role-based access, and constrained security.
• Design, configure, test, and implement complex security solutions across Workday functional areas, integrations, reporting, and emerging capabilities.
• Lead security risk, control, audit, access review, certification, and remediation activities, including SoD, privileged access, and user activity monitoring.
• Assess security impacts of Workday releases, projects, integrations, and functional changes throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Serve as the senior Workday Security subject matter expert and escalation point while guiding administrators and Tier 1 support.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and simplification of Workday security processes and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive IT experience, including database design, data architecture, data transformation, and data governance.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Workday Security experience in a senior, lead, or architectural capacity.
• Deep knowledge of Workday security, including domain and business process security, security groups, SoD, intersection security, integration security, and sensitive access.
• Experience with data lake, big data, or ETL tools, Master Data Management, data dictionaries, and technical mentorship.
• Must work from an approved U.S. location; California residents are excluded from remote work unless willing to relocate, and quarterly on-site work in Memphis is required.

Nice to have

• Workday Security certification.
• Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with Kainos SmartAudit or similar Workday security governance tools.
• Experience across HCM, Financials, Supply Chain, PRISM, Adaptive Planning, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, and Reporting.
• Experience with SSO/SAML, authentication, ServiceNow/ITIL processes, and technical leadership.
