Salesforce Integration Engineer (Public Trust)

Location: Remote within the United States; all work must be performed in the U.S. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. Foreign locations and foreign IP addresses are blocked, and personal VPN connections are prohibited.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 annually.

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and document secure integrations across Salesforce organizations, applications, repositories, third-party systems, service accounts, APIs, and middleware.
• Manage and support more than 150 Salesforce API connections, connected applications, certificates, service accounts, and authentication processes.
• Define integration patterns, data flows, technical specifications, implementation plans, and onboarding or offboarding readiness with architects, administrators, developers, security teams, release engineers, and customer leads.
• Support major releases, minor releases, hotfixes, production changes, sandbox coordination, incident response, and mission-critical portal and login support.
• Review technical design documents covering API design, authentication, error handling, monitoring, data movement, rollback planning, and operational supportability.
• Create API and service account inventories, data flow diagrams, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles while identifying modernization, automation, monitoring, and resilience opportunities.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and current Public Trust clearance/suitability determination or active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and have lived in the U.S. for three full years out of the last five years.
• At least 4 years of hands-on systems integration experience supporting enterprise applications.
• At least 2 years of experience with Salesforce integrations, Salesforce APIs, Connected Apps, service accounts, authentication, or Salesforce platform administration/development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain integration risks and dependencies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, SAML, certificates, API security, monitoring, error handling, production support, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with federal, public sector, regulated, or large multi-organization Salesforce programs, including Government Cloud, Salesforce Shield, Public Sector Solutions, or Experience Cloud.
• MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience and MuleSoft Developer or Salesforce integration-focused certifications.
• Experience with Salesforce CLI, VS Code Salesforce Extensions, GitLab, GitHub, GitHub Actions, scratch orgs, DevSecOps pipelines, Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware or ETL tools.
• Experience with release management, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Tier 2/Tier 3 support, technical design reviews, and high-volume incident environments.
