Compliance Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Mexico

hirify.global is a fintech and retail company providing interest-free installment payment products and shopping experiences for consumers and merchants.

What you will do

• Provide compliance advisory support on consumer finance and payments requirements and document guidance, decisions, and follow-ups.
• Track compliance operations, advisory requests, reviews, actions, issue logs, remediation plans, and evidence through defined workflows.
• Perform second-line oversight of complaint handling and contribute to complaint trend and root-cause analysis.
• Review marketing communications, product initiatives, change requests, and customer-facing vendors for compliance risks and control readiness.
• Prepare governance-ready memos, metrics, themes, escalations, and reporting for leadership and business partners.
• Support internal and external regulatory reviews, examinations, audits, and other compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree at BS/BA level or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, legal studies, information systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for consumer financial products and services.
• Experience in compliance operations or advisory, risk management, quality assurance, or other control and oversight activities.
• Strong written communication, analytical, organizational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High integrity, sound ethical judgment, and the ability to identify, challenge, and escalate concerns.
• At least one year of professional experience in consumer finance, fintech, banking, or another regulated environment is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with complaint management oversight, issues management, change management, marketing reviews, product compliance assessments, or third-party oversight.
• Experience preparing compliance documentation, evidence packages, governance reporting, or regulatory review materials.
