Subproject Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Bremen, Germany; flexible hybrid arrangement balancing remote and on-site work

What you will do

• Coordinate the subproject interface with project managers, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal business leads.
• Support technical requirements definition and manage schedule, cost, quality, and risk throughout subproject execution.
• Plan resources and capacity with departments, team leads, and HR, maintaining the relevant planning tools.
• Build and lead the project team, define its structure, coordinate work, run project meetings, and resolve conflicts.
• Manage internal interfaces and subcontractors, conduct work-package progress reviews, and monitor technical performance.
• Report to stakeholders, mitigate project risks, and contribute to proposals and future project acquisition.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, such as aerospace engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience as a project manager or in a related technical role within space projects.
• Strong knowledge of key systems-engineering areas and project-management methods such as IPMA C, V-Model, or Scrum.
• Experience with project-management tools, including MS Project and resource-planning systems, plus commercial understanding of schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, conflict-resolution, leadership, customer-orientation, and strategic skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly and ability to apply a structured, diplomatic, reliable, and cooperative working style.
