Director Business Value Services (Tax & Accounting)

Salary: $137,900–$267,500 USD per year

What you will do

• Partner with Sales on strategic Tax & Accounting accounts and complex enterprise opportunities.
• Shape deal strategy, support value-based pricing and negotiations, and improve win probability, deal size, and sales velocity.
• Build data-driven business cases quantifying revenue growth, cost optimization, productivity, automation, risk mitigation, and compliance outcomes.
• Develop and deliver executive narratives for CFOs, Heads of Tax, Heads of Accounting, CIOs, and other senior stakeholders.
• Create value-based proposals, ROI models, financial tools, and messaging frameworks for sales teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing on value propositions, customer value gaps, and market needs.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in top-tier consulting and/or enterprise SaaS, FinTech, or tax and accounting software.
• Proven experience in business case development, value engineering, complex enterprise deals, and C-level stakeholder engagement.
• Strong financial modeling and ROI expertise with structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes across finance, tax, accounting, and IT.
• Exceptional executive-level communication and storytelling skills.
• Ability to work at the Chicago, Illinois location; onsite attendance may also be required during the interview process.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in tax and accounting, including corporate tax departments, accounting firms, finance, or controllership organizations.
• Familiarity with tax workflows, financial close, reporting, audit, regulatory requirements, and finance or tax transformation.
• Experience advising private equity or professional services firms on value creation, diligence, ROI, or transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of automation and AI-driven workflows in finance and tax.
