Databricks Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: Georgia, United States. Teleworking is permitted, with a preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA; flexibility is available for the right candidate.

Salary: USD $110,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain Databricks workspaces and associated Azure infrastructure.
• Lead platform administration, governance, security, and workspace-account automation.
• Optimize data and machine learning workloads for cost efficiency, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain Databricks data pipelines using Autoloader, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows.
• Implement production MLOps capabilities with MLflow, Serving Endpoints, and Model Registry.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, ML engineers, and business analysts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering Databricks accounts and workspaces, including governance, configuration, and security management.
• Experience with Databricks SQL, large datasets, distributed computing, and cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Azure Entra ID, Data Factory, Key Vault, Purview, and Unity Catalog governance architecture.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure cloud networking concepts such as VNET Injection.
• Databricks Platform Administrator Certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
• Master’s degree.
