General Ledger Accountant (Global Business Services)

Location: Asturias, Spain; hybrid role

What you will do

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing under US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and entity-level variance analyses.
• Support statutory financial statements, local reporting, and VAT and other tax compliance activities.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation dhirify.globalerences.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Partner with Global Business Services teams on process improvements and internal control compliance.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience in a multinational or shared services environment.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting standards applicable to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, financial controls, compliance, and audits.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP skills, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Professional written and verbal English communication skills.

• Experience supporting multiple legal entities across dhirify.globalerent European countries.
• Knowledge of statutory reporting and tax compliance in Belgium, the Netherlands, or Switzerland.
