Assistant Accountant (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Contribute to month-end close and management accounts for multiple legal entities across several countries.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, intercompany trading balances, and sundry balances.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare data for foreign subsidiaries’ VAT and Intrastat filings.
• Prepare data for local statutory accounts and support EMEA sales reporting, including deferred revenue calculations and reconciliations.
• Support year-end and interim EMEA group audits conducted alongside the US audit and external auditors.

Requirements

• Strong accounting background and experience in a similar role.
• AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong general IT skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, time management, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Dynamics 365.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP.
• Foreign language skills.
