QA Manager, Live Operations (Mobile Games)

Location: Remote in the US and Canada, or hybrid in Culver City, California, United States

Salary: $98,600–$145,000 USD annual base salary for candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA. Additional equity, bonuses, and benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, mentor, and support the growth of a distributed QA team.
• Drive scalable quality practices, release excellence, and continuous improvement for a live mobile game.
• Build and use team metrics to measure product quality and operational excellence.
• Plan and coordinate quality-related activities, assignments, schedules, releases, and deployments.
• Communicate quality issues, risks, concerns, and successes to stakeholders, partners, and executives.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, QA, localization, marketing, customer support, and live operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance.
• 2+ years of management experience across the full game development lifecycle.
• Experience working on a live mobile game with a large and active player base.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, software testing, QA processes, change management, and process improvement.
• Experience building and leading distributed or remote teams and embedding QA practices in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with bug-tracking systems, test-plan management tools, communication, organization, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile free-to-play or core gaming environments.
• Familiarity with release management, automation, and quality metrics.
