Assistant Control Systems Technician (Electrical Engineering/SCADA): Installing, testing, calibrating, and maintaining control, protection, metering, communication, and energy management equipment for substations and generating stations with an accent on high-voltage systems, precision instrumentation, and electronic diagnostics. Focus on performing high-voltage testing, maintaining protective relays and SCADA equipment, and troubleshooting complex electrical and communication systems in demanding field conditions.
Location: Plainfield, Indiana; Columbus or Kokomo, Indiana. Must live within 45 miles of the reporting location.

What you will do
- Verify wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and received equipment against engineering standards.
- Install, test, calibrate, maintain, and repair control, protection, metering, recording, and electronic equipment.
- Service SCADA, energy management, load control, remote alarming, telemetry, and terminal unit systems.
- Perform electrical calculations involving current, voltage, phase angle, impedance, power factor, and capacitance.
- Assist with high-voltage testing, protective relay testing, transformer testing, and calibration of specialized equipment.
- Work in substations and generating stations, including climbing, lifting equipment, and operating in adverse weather, confined spaces, high voltage, steam pressure, dirt, and noise.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology or a related field.
- Satisfactory completion of entry-level tests.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Must live within 45 miles of the reporting location and weigh under 285 pounds at the time of hire.
