E&C Technician (PLC)

Location: Devers, Texas, United States; onsite

Energy infrastructure company providing gas transportation and storage services across North America.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, repair, operate, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose PLC logic, control valves, electrical motor controls, alarms, sensors, and equipment cause-and-effect systems.
• Schedule electrical maintenance, make equipment callouts, maintain supplies and repair parts, and assist PLC programming personnel.
• Read electrical prints and make appropriate red-line changes.
• Work with project managers, engineering teams, and contractors on new construction projects and supervise electrical contractors.
• Report unsafe practices and maintain safe operations in outdoor, industrial, confined, and hazardous environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of relevant experience; job level depends on experience and knowledge.
• General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering systems, and processing plant operations.
• Valid operating license and an acceptable driving record under company insurance requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication, basic math, sound judgment, and the ability to make quick decisions in adverse conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, work in confined areas, respond to alarms, and work outdoors in hazardous conditions and extreme temperatures.

Nice to have

• Journeyman electrician qualification.
• Experience with Maximo or another enterprise asset management application.
