IT Specialist II, Field Services (Manufacturing IT)

Location: Seesen, Germany; on-site support with regular travel between company locations

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and standard business applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and workplace technology issues in office and manufacturing environments.
• Perform device imaging, deployments, upgrades, replacements, break/fix support, and technology refreshes.
• Support site technology including shop-floor workstations, shared terminals, printers, conference room and AV equipment, phone systems, and CCTV.
• Travel to company locations for escalations, new site setups, standardization initiatives, and multi-site support.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and technical documentation while coordinating with centralized Network, Hosting, and Server teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience in IT deskside support, IT field services, or a similar hands-on technical support role.
• Experience supporting users and technology in manufacturing, plant, and corporate office environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking, with familiarity with ITSM and ticketing systems.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites, travel regularly, and communicate technical issues to non-technical users.
• Comfort working on active manufacturing floors and using required PPE such as safety shoes and eye protection.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, networking, or cabling certification.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, and structured cabling.
• Experience with distributed or multi-site environments, server or hosting environments, or Operational Technology and industrial control systems.
