Field Service Engineer (9 Months Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates; extensive field travel required

What you will do

• Provide prompt field service to customers in water, power, petrochemical, oil and gas, and related industries.
• Identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in the field.
• Perform planned and preventive maintenance, including mechanical and electrical actuator installations.
• Install retrofit components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
• Complete accurate technical site visit reports for each job.
• Travel extensively to customer sites and follow health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Practical post-study engineering experience, preferably in a field-based role.
• Technical experience or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators, and digital control systems.
• Understanding of basic electronics, electrical theory, and fluid power theory.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and use common testing and calibration tools.
• Full valid driver’s license and willingness to meet an extensive travel commitment required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and concentration.
