DevOps/Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud)

Location: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 CAD per year, plus a 5% variable annual bonus and potential RSU grant.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement automation for software builds, staging, releases, and deployments.
• Provision infrastructure through build pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Implement code quality monitoring, security scanning, and license compliance monitoring.
• Improve configuration management, engineering efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.
• Support engineers with debugging and resolving build, staging, and production deployment issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineer in a Google Cloud environment.
• Experience with automation, configuration management, CI/CD tools, and build tools.
• Experience administering Jenkins and writing pipelines.
• Experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure resources programmatically.
• Programming or scripting proficiency in at least one of Shell, Java, or Groovy.
• Experience with Gradle and Groovy configuration and plugin authoring, or equivalent Maven experience.
