Senior AI DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid work is available remotely up to two days per week, or the role can be performed on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $112,000–$168,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for enterprise applications, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated security controls, infrastructure as code, and secure software delivery practices.
• Support Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, and related platform services used to develop and deploy AI-powered applications and agents.
• Establish platform engineering standards, deployment guardrails, reusable automation patterns, and secure self-service capabilities.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and reliability practices while leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineering and information security teams, modernize deployment architectures, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and enterprise-scale cloud operations, including at least 5 years supporting production Azure workloads.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, Zero Trust, IAM, PAM, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and security automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, scripting, automation, monitoring, observability, and incident management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AI, machine learning, or generative AI platforms.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
• Experience establishing engineering standards and platform governance across multiple development teams.
