Platform / DevSecOps Engineer - Secure AI Systems (AI)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. Travel may include up to 5%.

Salary: $145,676–$178,049 annual compensation, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Design, build, automate, operate, and secure the platform foundation for a new AI architecture across isolated cloud, hybrid, air-gapped, on-premises, and edge environments.
• Own compute, storage, networking, database, and runner infrastructure supporting business-critical collaboration and software-development platforms.
• Establish Zero Trust boundaries using segmentation, least-privilege access, controlled ingress and egress, federation, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, and conditional access.
• Administer GitHub Enterprise Server, including repositories, permissions, Actions runners, audit logs, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Build secure software-supply-chain pipelines for validating, tracing, scanning, and promoting trusted code, packages, containers, firmware, and other artifacts.
• Engineer monitoring, vulnerability remediation, threat detection, incident response, backup, replication, failover, and recovery capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or information systems, or a high school diploma/GED with seven years of relevant experience.
• At least seven years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure security, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience designing, deploying, and operating Terraform infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP and private cloud or virtualization technologies.
• At least three years of production experience administering GitHub Enterprise Server or a comparable self-hosted software-development platform.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Comfort working with confidential or access-controlled intellectual property, strong security judgment, and experience operating under ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell and disciplined source control, testing, code review, release management, and documentation.
• Experience designing and managing scalable Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with greenfield platforms, air-gapped or highly isolated production environments, physical infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
• Experience protecting sensitive or regulated information and implementing NIST CSF, FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD STIGs, or comparable controls.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
