Manager, Physical Security Systems (Defense)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; full-time on-site presence required with travel to domestic facilities up to 35% and the ability to travel to U.S. locations up to 50% or more as needed.

Salary: $150,000–$195,000 USD per year, base salary only.

What you will do

• Manage enterprise access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems across multiple locations.
• Oversee system reliability, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, badge administration, and credential lifecycle management.
• Lead security technology projects for upgrades, expansions, renovations, and new construction.
• Coordinate contractors, integrators, vendors, Facilities, IT, and other stakeholders while reviewing construction and facility design documents.
• Develop capital investment plans and operating budgets for physical security technology.
• Maintain system documentation, compliance records, operational metrics, and executive-level reports while building and developing a technical workforce.

Requirements

• At least seven years of progressively responsible enterprise physical security operations experience.
• Experience administering access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems, including LenelS2, Genetec, Brivo, or comparable platforms.
• Experience leading security technology implementations and managing contractors, vendors, and system integrators.
• Strong leadership, project management, organizational, problem-solving, written communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Active U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret clearance required at hire; TS/SCI preferred. Applicants must be U.S. Persons eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Nice to have

• BS degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
• CPP, PSP, PMP, or equivalent certification.
• SOC leadership experience, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, UL 2050, ICD 705, CMMC, electronic security system design, and physical security standards.
