Fund Accounting Data Migration Consultant (5m Contract)

Location: London, hybrid

Salary: £550–£700 per day

An established investment business is upgrading its Real Estate finance and technology infrastructure as part of a wider technology and finance transformation programme.

What you will do

• Analyse how fund accounting and investment data flows through Finance, Investment and Technology functions.
• Interrogate large financial datasets using SQL and review relationships between funds, investments, entities, transactions and balances.
• Prepare data and systems for migration to a new platform, including data mapping and completeness checks.
• Develop migration and reconciliation processes and investigate discrepancies across reporting and production systems.
• Support testing and conversion activity and resolve complex data issues by identifying their underlying causes.

Requirements

• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills.
• Previous experience with fund accounting, investment accounting or finance systems migration.
• Good knowledge of fund accounting and complex investment structures.
• Experience working with financial data across multiple fund entities, investments and reporting periods.
• Strong data analysis, mapping and reconciliation experience.
• Ability to investigate complex data issues and identify root causes.

Nice to have

• Experience in Real Estate Investment Management, Real Estate Debt or wider Alternatives.
• Knowledge of eFront, Aladdin, MRI, Databricks or Power BI.
