Junior Accountant

Location: Bogota, Colombia; hybrid model

What you will do

• Execute and oversee journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant financial records under IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory requirements.
• Validate and reconcile VAT, withholding taxes, tax provisions, and other tax accounting data supporting statutory filings.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation, reconciliations, and control evidence.
• Identify control gaps and collaborate with P2P and O2C teams to resolve accounting and tax issues.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in accounting processes and financial close activities.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to perform and review complex balance sheet, intercompany, and tax account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across finance, tax, audit, and business functions.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting accounting operations across multiple Latin American countries.
• Knowledge of VAT, withholding taxes, income tax accounting, and related reporting processes.
• Experience in Finance Shared Services Center environments or supporting internal and external audits.
• Familiarity with process improvement, automation, and governance initiatives.
