Tax Operations Specialist (Payroll Tax)

What you will do

• Import client tax liabilities from payroll platforms and set up and balance full-service tax clients.
• File and pay client payroll taxes and prepare quarterly, annual, and amended tax returns.
• Maintain client identification numbers, tax rates, and deposit frequencies.
• Run payroll tax reports and verify information submitted to federal, state, and local tax agencies.
• Investigate discrepancies in tax payments, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate return printing and electronic filing, and participate in testing software updates.

Requirements

• Must be located in the USA.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Analytical thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, and creative resolution skills.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office experience, including Excel and Word.
