Applications Engineer (Test and Measurement)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, United States during Phase 1; Silicon Valley / Bay Area during Phase 2. Relocation to Silicon Valley / Bay Area is required after the training phase.

Salary: $67,300–$124,900 annually, inclusive of sales incentives and commissions.

What you will do

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to engineers using electrical test and measurement instruments.
• Build expertise in oscilloscopes, signal generators, source measure units, parameter analyzers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex test challenges and optimize customer measurement setups.
• Create application notes, training videos, and knowledge-base articles.
• Advise customers on solution selection, conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials, and lead technical discovery discussions.
• Partner with Account Managers, Field Application Engineers, Sales, Marketing, and Product Engineering to execute account strategies and develop opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of or experience with test and measurement instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, DMMs, and SMUs.
• Hands-on laboratory experience from R&D, university projects, or internships involving signal-oriented test and measurement.
• Programming experience in at least one high-level language, such as Python, C#, or LabVIEW, especially for instrument control and automation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external customers.
• Willingness to relocate to Silicon Valley / Bay Area after the training phase.
