Field Service Technician (3D Printing)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom, with customer-site travel across the UK&Ireland region. Candidates based in London, Manchester, or Dublin are highly preferred. The role requires travel 80% or more of the time.

Develops 3D printing tools and technologies used for product development, prototyping, manufacturing, and medical devices.

What you will do

• Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain 3D printing systems at customer sites.
• Deliver structured user training covering equipment operation, software use, and basic maintenance.
• Perform product demonstrations and act as the primary technical contact for customers.
• Diagnose electromechanical issues and complete urgent break-fix repairs, targeting single-visit resolutions.
• Manage preventive maintenance visits and ensure warrantied customers are serviced within the 90-day target window.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and document installations, training, and repairs in Salesforce.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in electromechanical systems and hardware.
• English proficiency at C1–C2 level, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more of the time, including short-notice travel for urgent repairs.
• Valid Category B driver’s licence.
• Ability to train customers and communicate effectively in on-site environments.
