TL;DR

Process Engineer (Manufacturing): Managing cost analysis, manufacturing process recommendations, sourcing, prototyping, and BOM and drawing documentation for hardware engineering projects with an accent on injection molding, bending, stamping, and machining processes. Focus on evaluating part costs, supporting engineers with sourcing and quotations, and organizing manufacturing knowledge for the team.

Location: Shenzhen, China; onsite

hirify.global develops hardware products through its Hardware Engineering department.

What you will do

Manage early-stage cost analysis and evaluate and predict part costs.
Recommend manufacturing processes for part designs during projects and prepare analysis documentation.
Collaborate with Sourcing and Operations teams to source parts and provide quotations to engineers.
Manage prototypes and special samples for the R&D team.
Maintain BOMs and engineering drawings.
Organize manufacturing process knowledge in team documentation and share it with colleagues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
At least two years of experience in design or process engineering.
At least three years of experience in sourcing or purchasing.
Experience with one or more manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, bending, stamping, or machining.
Willingness to learn different manufacturing processes and share knowledge with team members.
Ability to write documents in English.
