Principal AI Platform Architect

Location: Auburndale, Massachusetts, USA; in-person work required three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely at other times.

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Define and build a scalable enterprise AI platform supporting LLMs, agentic workflows, and federated development across multiple engineering teams.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform for enterprise-scale workloads.
• Establish platform patterns for microservices, event-driven architectures, API-first design, and integration with legacy systems.
• Build CI/CD pipelines that deploy automatically to the cloud and enable teams to add new components, agents, and capabilities.
• Set architectural standards for AI governance, security, evaluation, observability, and operational excellence.
• Guide architecture reviews and technical direction while remaining hands-on with implementation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise software platforms at scale.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services and AI capabilities; Vertex AI experience is preferred.
• Production experience with AI platforms, agentic frameworks, LLMs, orchestration, and evaluation strategies.
• Expertise in event-driven architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
• Knowledge of platform security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tools, with exceptional communication and technical leadership skills.
