Senior Software Engineer, Edge Security (Go)

Location: Remote within North America; availability required during core US business hours. Participation in an on-call rotation and travel may be required.

Salary: $181,220–$217,464 per year, with potential equity and discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop backend systems for large-scale web applications primarily in Go.
• Write clean, modular, robust code and implement product requirements.
• Optimize code and tune system performance.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams in a distributed environment.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems for web applications.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP and related networking protocols.
• Strong interest in network security.
• Strong Linux, automation, and shell scripting skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative, distributed team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building security solutions.
• Expertise with Kubernetes.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments spanning data centers and public cloud.
• Experience with C or Rust.
