Senior SDET (AI)

Location: Ontario, Canada

Salary: $135,500–$158,000 CAD per year base salary; bonus, equity, and benefits are not included.

What you will do

• Plan and implement functional, regression, and end-to-end tests across UI, API, and database layers.
• Develop and analyze capacity and performance tests for microservices and key product scenarios.
• Own test strategy for AI Contact Center systems, including AI Routing, Digital Agent workflows, and Agentic Analytics.
• Build instrumentation and evaluation approaches that make non-deterministic AI behavior testable.
• Analyze failures, define quality KPIs, and communicate results to technical and business stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews, add test hooks early, write maintainable code, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Typically 6+ years of relevant software development experience, preferably including test automation frameworks for SaaS applications.
• Strong programming skills in a language such as Python or Java.
• Experience designing scalable test automation frameworks and applying functional, integration, load, and performance testing methodologies.
• Deep familiarity with cloud technologies and REST service testing.
• Experience integrating tests into CI pipelines and using AI coding agents for test generation and optimization.
• Polished written and verbal English communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with teams in different geographies.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven evaluation methodologies, evaluation harnesses for non-deterministic systems, or enterprise-scale data infrastructure.
