Sr. Software Engineer (Agentic Systems)

Location: Opportunity to be based in the Bay Area office; California-based salary range provided.

Salary: $224,500–$251,500 USD base salary for California.

What you will do

• Own the architectural roadmap and delivery of agentic infrastructure, orchestration layers, memory architectures, and evaluation and observability systems.
• Design and deploy scalable multimodal AI agents for autonomous support, real-time voice reasoning, and secure API tool execution.
• Build multi-agent orchestration capabilities for conversational reasoning and workflow execution over large enterprise datasets.
• Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and help define an AI-native software development lifecycle.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Applied Research, Design, and executive leadership on technical strategy and delivery.
• Research and implement agent frameworks, LLM inference optimization, retrieval systems, and safety and policy guardrails.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience and a track record of technical leadership as a Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal Engineer.
• Strong experience scaling distributed systems and production infrastructure, with applied experience in AI, LLM platforms, and agentic architectures.
• Experience with LLM inference optimization, fine-tuning, advanced retrieval, and memory architectures.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AWS and Google agent ecosystems.
• Experience with evaluation, observability, safety frameworks, streaming infrastructure, voice or conversational AI, and API tool execution.
• Ability to lead and grow a small engineering group, set technical goals, manage architectural risks, and reduce technical debt.

• Experience building AI products from the ground up and scaling them into robust enterprise systems.
