Senior Java Backend Developer (IAM)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal, with 3 days per week at the office

What you will do

• Design and implement complex Java microservices for Unified Commerce products.
• Define architectural patterns, coding standards, and security practices for the squad.
• Own the IAM strategy, including Keycloak realm design, Okta federation, and OIDC flow architecture.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and security vulnerabilities.
• Lead code reviews, establish quality gates, and promote SonarQube and Snyk adoption.
• Mentor confirmed and junior engineers and produce ADRs, technical documentation, and runbooks.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience developing backend services with Java and microservices.
• Experience with IAM architecture, Keycloak, Okta federation, and OIDC flows.
• Knowledge of software security, scalability, performance optimization, and coding standards.
• Portuguese and English language skills.
• Availability to work from the Lisbon office 3 days per week.
