Blockchain / DLT Developer (Web3)

Location: London, UK — hybrid / remote

Salary: £90,000–£110,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts and decentralised applications across Ethereum, Hedera, Algorand, and proprietary blockchain infrastructure.
• Build blockchain solutions for financial services and capital markets clients.
• Enhance a proprietary enterprise blockchain platform through protocol improvements and developer tooling.
• Integrate blockchain components with backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and wider platform infrastructure.
• Test, audit, and optimise smart contracts for security, performance, and gas efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product managers, business teams, and client stakeholders while providing technical guidance to junior developers.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with security tokens on distributed ledgers.
• Proven experience developing and deploying Ethereum smart contracts using Solidity.
• Experience with Hedera and Hedera Token Service, or Algorand with PyTEAL, TEAL, or ARC standards.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus, cryptography, tokenisation, and DLT architectures.
• Experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or equivalent DLT SDKs; proficiency in Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with blockchain development tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle, plus Git and collaborative development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with proprietary enterprise blockchain platforms, Layer 2 networks, or cross-chain interoperability.
• Knowledge of ERC-20, ERC-1400, ERC-3643, or DeFi protocols.
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech, and knowledge of blockchain regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Agile, or DevOps methodologies.
