Night Hygiene Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Sittingbourne, United Kingdom; onsite night shift

Salary: £16.91 per hour, plus a 5% bonus scheme

What you will do

• Supervise the night hygiene team, including recruitment support, appraisals, holiday and absence management, and pay queries.
• Direct cleaning of industrial food production machinery in line with approved methods, frequencies, and hygiene standards.
• Create corrective and preventative actions when cleaning schedules are not followed.
• Manage staffing, PPE, equipment, chemicals, consumables, stock checks, and department costs.
• Maintain cleaning records, perform chemical titration checks, and support basic hygiene equipment maintenance.
• Train hygiene staff, coordinate with the Technical Manager and chemical supplier, and complete production handovers.

Requirements

• Previous hygiene supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• COSHH, Health and Safety, and First Aid training.
• Level 2 HACCP and Food Hygiene.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Availability for core hours of 21:00–05:00, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
