Commodity Manager / Supply Engineer (Electrical)

What you will do

• Manage direct-material sourcing activities and oversee assigned site spend.
• Analyze international supply markets, including suppliers, technologies, costs, and risks.
• Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with global sourcing initiatives.
• Select, evaluate, develop, and audit suppliers, including second-source strategies.
• Lead price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with national and international suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction, manage supply risks and bottlenecks, and report supplier performance metrics.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in strategic or technical procurement, preferably in electrical or mechanical environments.
• Experience at professional or senior category leader level, including supplier selection, development, negotiations, and cost analysis.
• Ability to evaluate bills of materials, technical drawings, and specifications and work closely with Engineering and Operations.
• Fluent, negotiation-level French and English.
• Technical or commercial education, or a degree in engineering, business administration, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• ERP knowledge with M3 or SAP; willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial, electrical power distribution, railway, data center, or telecom industries.
• Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or strategic sourcing and procurement.
