Electrical & Instrumentation Apprentice

Location: Cashel, Tipperary, Ireland; on-site work at customer locations is required.

What you will do

• Support experienced technicians with instrumentation servicing, calibration, gas testing, and sample retrieval at customer sites.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial environments.
• Apply measurement principles covering pressure, flow, temperature, and level, and assist with microbial sample processing.
• Prepare technical reports, calibration certificates, service records, gas testing documentation, and quality records.
• Support quality management activities, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and compliance with company procedures and safety policies.
• Complete on-the-job and off-the-job apprenticeship training through SOLAS and educational college programmes.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16.
• Junior Certificate with Grade D in five subjects, an approved pre-apprenticeship, or three years of relevant industry experience.
• Current passport, as there may be an opportunity to work abroad.
• Colour vision test may be required under SOLAS requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, solve problems, work in a team, and complete tasks independently.
• Commitment to quality, safety, punctuality, reliability, professional conduct, and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge related to electricity, electronics, installation techniques, automatic control, hazardous environments, measurement and instrumentation systems, final control elements, or communications systems.
