Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Contract Manufacturing Site, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Onsite manufacturing-floor work with 50% travel between Johor and regional hirify.global sites when required. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Act as the primary engineering liaison between hirify.global and contract manufacturing partners.
• Analyze manufacturing data and lead improvements in yield, process capability, OEE, productivity, and cost.
• Provide daily engineering support for production issues, equipment downtime, escalations, and manufacturing KPIs.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, process validation, and qualification activities.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, manufacturing transfers, audits, and customer complaint investigations.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools for process monitoring, predictive maintenance, automated reporting, and AI-driven manufacturing improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, chemical, mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience.
• Experience with manufacturing process control, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, process validation, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel analytics, Minitab, SQL, and manufacturing dashboard development; Python is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing without authority, structured problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work directly with contract manufacturing partners and support high-volume manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation, assembly, printing, plastics, or consumer product manufacturing.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers.
• Experience developing data-driven dashboards and leading cost or productivity improvement projects.
