Forward Deployed Engineer - New Capabilities (AI)

What you will do

• Embed with product teams to identify business problems where AI can provide meaningful value.
• Lead technical discovery and match business needs to existing AI services or define new capabilities.
• Design, build, and integrate AI services, data pipelines, model-serving systems, and production workflows.
• Build AI-first applications using LLMs, agentic systems, retrieval, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Ship initial solutions quickly, then improve monitoring, feedback loops, reliability, and operational quality.
• Translate stakeholder needs into roadmap input while communicating technical trade-offs clearly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and deploying production systems.
• Strong Python skills and willingness to work across unfamiliar languages and codebases.
• Experience with production LLM and AI-service integration, including authentication, gateways, reliability, latency, cost, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with agentic applications, production RAG and retrieval systems, embeddings, vector databases, indexing, and evaluation.
• Experience with cloud-native services, Kubernetes, Azure, Docker, Helm, GitOps/ArgoCD, and Terraform or equivalent IaC tooling.
• Understanding of distributed and event-driven systems, ML/data systems, monitoring, failure modes, and production reliability.

Nice to have

• Azure experience with AKS, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Azure-hosted AI or model services.
• Hands-on MCP experience.
• Experience working with platform or infrastructure teams.
