What you will do

  • Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes, including material selection, equipment metrology, parameter tuning, and system design.
  • Design and execute structured experiments to improve device functionality, yield, and production output.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and pathfinding for innovative device architectures and future manufacturing roadmaps.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and implement novel technology solutions with equipment and materials suppliers.
  • Use theoretical simulations and practical engineering methods to assess process technology feasibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors on cost-effective technology roadmaps and operational goals.

Requirements

  • On-site presence in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related STEM field with 4+ years of hands-on semiconductor processing experience; or a relevant master’s degree with 3+ years of domain-specific experience; or a relevant PhD with no prior professional experience required.
  • Experience with process characterization, statistical process control, design of experiments, experimental design, data analysis, or manufacturing process improvement.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing techniques such as lithography, etching, deposition, or chemical-mechanical planarization.
  • Experience with thin-film deposition technologies, vacuum process systems, or opto-mechanics.

Nice to have

  • Experience with advanced transistor architectures such as FinFET or GAA and semiconductor device fabrication.
  • Experience with SEM, TEM, XPS, ellipsometry, or similar materials characterization methods.
  • Programming or scripting experience in Python, JMP, or MATLAB for process optimization or data analysis.
