TL;DR

Technician 2, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance (Manufacturing): Maintaining production-line equipment in a media manufacturing environment with an accent on preventive maintenance, basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and cleanroom safety. Focus on recovering equipment during downtime, supporting machine upgrades and improvement projects, and developing technical competency across vacuum and manufacturing systems.

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite manufacturing facility

What you will do

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic inspections on media manufacturing production equipment.
Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Document maintenance activities, findings, and equipment issues in the maintenance management system.
Support equipment recovery during downtime and production interruptions.
Assist engineers and senior technicians with machine upgrades, conversions, and improvement projects.
Maintain cleanroom standards, follow safety procedures, and escalate abnormal equipment conditions.

Requirements

Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
0–3 years of experience in manufacturing or equipment maintenance; relevant fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance practices.
Ability to work a 12-hour AWS shift and support overtime when required.
Ability to follow maintenance procedures and work instructions, with good teamwork and communication skills.
Strong awareness of safety procedures and cleanroom discipline.

Nice to have

Experience in sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing.
Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.
Basic knowledge of vacuum systems or manufacturing equipment.
