Module Equipment Technician (Preventive Maintenance, Contract)

Location: On-site in Penang, Malaysia; normal shift with availability for overtime or 12-hour day shifts when needed.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and replacement of wear parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in manufacturing equipment and perform dismantling, adjustment, repair, installation, and assembly.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain production equipment while coordinating supplier service and repairs when required.
• Monitor equipment data, prepare PM reports and failure logs, update specifications, and create maintenance procedures.
• Support Engineering with equipment experiments, configuration changes, data collection, and controlled troubleshooting.
• Support factory ramps by ensuring equipment installation, conversion, and PM readiness, while escalating overdue or critical tasks.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Relevant technical experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing is preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic systems.
• Ability to work with precision instruments and Assembly and Test equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and support overtime or 12-hour day shifts when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to maintenance quality and compliance.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment servicing in an Assembly and Finish environment.
• Familiarity with PM schedules, technical documentation, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with Assembly and Finish equipment.
