Full Stack Engineer (Accounting)

Location: Remote, Amman, Jordan. Candidates should be able to work substantially within GMT+3 hours.

What you will do

• Design and build a new accounting product from the ground up, including the general ledger, chart of accounts, journals, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Build integrations with inventory, payments, POS transaction flows, and regulatory e-invoicing.
• Own features across the full stack, from database schema and system design to user-facing screens.
• Translate accounting requirements into technical solutions with a product manager and domain accountant.
• Use AI agents and LLM tooling to evaluate systems, generate and review code, and accelerate development.
• Make early architectural decisions and release features quickly to validate them with real merchants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software, including meaningful experience with accounting, ERP, or financial systems.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with the ability to own features from schema to screen.
• Daily experience with AI agents and LLM tooling, including the judgment to assess and review generated output.
• Experience shipping software in an early-stage or greenfield environment with a small team and short delivery cycles.
• Strong attention to correctness in financial systems where errors are costly.
• Ability to work substantially within GMT+3 hours.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating a ledger, double-entry engine, or transaction-processing system at scale.
• Background in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as ERPNext, Odoo, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Experience with ZATCA e-invoicing or comparable regional tax and regulatory integrations.
• Arabic language skills or experience shipping AI-powered features.
