Hardware Reliability Engineer

Location: Pudong, Shanghai, China; onsite hands-on engineering role

What you will do

• Own reliability test programs, including HALT, ALT, vibration, and thermal cycling, from planning through documented conclusion.
• Set up and instrument hands-on tests and lead root cause analysis for electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical failures.
• Drive DFMEA activities in new product development teams, track mitigation actions, and close them with engineering evidence.
• Maintain and improve the FRACAS process by analyzing field, warranty, and service data and converting trends into engineering improvements.
• Assess component and assembly lifetimes and work with suppliers on reliability requirements and qualification data.
• Prepare traceable technical documentation and present findings to engineering teams as an active contributor to cross-functional NPD programs.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience running reliability tests, disassembling hardware, performing failure analysis, and identifying root causes.
• Working knowledge of FMEA/DFMEA, FRACAS, Weibull analysis, and accelerated life testing.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of problems, and communicate clearly and factually in English.
