Category Manager - Range | Beverages (Hospitality)

What you will do

• Lead and execute the beverage category and segmentation strategy across more than 350 ALH Hotels venues.
• Optimise venue-specific ranges through data-backed biannual reviews, trend analysis, and guest behaviour insights.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pouring agreements, and preferred supplier programs.
• Partner with Hospitality Operations, Marketing, Executive Chefs, retail insights teams, and trading partners to align food and beverage strategies.
• Design tailored beverage lists for renewal venues and major refurbishments.
• Lead and develop direct reports while building commercial accountability and on-premise excellence.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in beverage strategy or category management, preferably in a large multisite hospitality group.
• Experience managing complex P&Ls, optimising margins, and conducting high-value supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and commercial storytelling skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience querying databases with SQL.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform to extract and analyse commercial insights.
